THE HISTORY OF ALL NATIONS CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST

All Nations C.O.G.I.C. was founded in September, 1950 in the basement home of Elder John and Missionary Lula Mannie at 2233 Ohio Street, Gary, Indiana. The church was dedicated by Elder E.N. Williams and Sister Elizabeth Cameron was the first member.

The church later moved to 2377 Vermont Street, Gary, Indiana where many souls were saved and the membership grew. Elder John Mannie remained pastor until his passing October, 1961. After which, Elder Lee F. Cameron, Sr. was appointed as Pastor and Sister Elizabeth Cameron became the First Lady. Once again, the church membership continued to grow and Elder Lee F. Cameron, Sr. then was blessed to move the church to the basement of 2417 Washington Street, Gary, Indiana where many souls were saved and many healings took place.

On July 7, 1982, God richly blessed Elder Lee Cameron, Sr. and the All Nations Church congregation through their tithing, offerings and dedication to sign their first church mortgage at the present location of 2248 Garfield Street, Gary, Indiana.  This blessing was made possible through the late Elder Rufus Nelson who was a Godly man who truly understood that God used him to bless this ministry with a church building.  After moving into this new edifice, the church membership grew and many major accomplishments took place where Pastor Lee Cameron added new church landscaping, new pulpit furniture, upgraded pew seating, new doors, new fenced parking, an alarm system and a new P.A. system. Two new ministers also joined.

Pastor Lee F. Cameron, Sr. worked hard for the church and ministry until his demise August 2, 1990.

The Lord continued to move and the vision continues with Bishop Milton L. Hall, Prelate Indiana First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Indiana appointing Minister Chester Cameron, Sr. as the interim Pastor of All Nations Church in August 1990. He is the son of the late Elder Lee F. Cameron, Sr. and the grandson of the late Mother Lula Mannie.

In July of 1991, Elder Chester L. Cameron, Sr. was ordained and appointed officially as the Pastor.  Sister Teresa Cameron became the First Lady, Mother Elizabeth Cameron was appointed the Church Mother and Minister John Maynor was appointed the Assistant Pastor.

Pastor Chester Cameron, Sr. being lead by the Holy Spirit was able to continue the works of the late Elder Lee Cameron, Sr. by accomplishing many goals for the church consisting of the installation of a new heating system, renovation of the Lula Mannie Dining Hall, upgrade musical instruments, establishing outreach programs such as the Lula Mannie Prayer Breakfast helping to support the Battered Women & Children’s Shelter, Lee F. Cameron Scholarship Fund, Annual Harvest Youth Celebration, This Is Your Life Recognition Program, Youth Video Ministry, Youth Sports Outreach Program and All Nations Community Development Corporation.

One of his greatest accomplishments was paying off of the Church Mortgage on November 14, 1992, which was two years prior to the original pay off date. Later, God gave Elder Cameron the vision to build a new church edifice that would accommodate a great number of people this was to be a five year plan, with God’s help, he was blessed to accomplish this goal and see the vision come to pass two years prior to the original set goal.

Pastor Cameron and his wife Teresa along with current supporting church members and previous members worked endlessly to achieve the goal of the new sanctuary and offices being built. The current members of the church did much of the labor for the new church.  He strongly believes that with God all things are possible, if we serve the Lord with a pure heart and submit humbly to His divine will. Praise be God, the new church was completed September 2002 for it is God who makes the impossible, possible.
